Background/Personality

Zack doesn't like talking about himself unless someone asks. Then he chooses how much of the question he wants to answer. Either way, he's a big loner guy. He'll hiss at people who don't leave him alone or attempt to be close to him. (Well, not literally, but at least shoo 'em off) Zack's pretty tired of having people close to him as friends. Last time he had a friend, said "friend" hated Zack once he got a girlfriend. Or that's what he tells everyone. This is probably why Zack doesn't like to hang around girls the most.

He's a city tagger. He mostly refers to himself as a "scribe" since he thinks being called a tagger sounded too juvenile for his talents. Zack used to design anonymously for background adverts and had hopes of someone wanting more of his style. That, apparently, didn't happen and soon stopped trying to get his art out there.

One lonely (and considerably LUCKY) night, he walks around abandoned alleyways and ignoring his parents resentment of his passion for design over the phone. He looks upon the dusky dim-lit skies and asks for his art to "spring to life in the world". Little did he know that the moment the star was ready to fall to Zack and give him his wish, somethings were ready to swipe the vulnerable and unstable star away from its orbit, endangering the boy's life.

This is where Gunner shows up. Gunner is an alien whose purpose is to protect the stars. Here is a very strangely/poorly-told version of her story.

So Gunner arrives, attempting to follow the star to its destination before those creeper aliens get a hold of it. It was too late that they had tracked the darn little thing, but Gunner still fought them off for the time being. Also for the time being, she decides to protect Zack because, unfortunately, his star was pursued and will be sought after again. So now he has an human-disguised alien following him around. Being a know-it-all.

As for Oberon's Garden, Gunner shall freak out that Zack is not in her care. And Zack will freak out that he's with Emmei, OF ALL PEOPLE AND CREATURES TO BE STUCK IN ANOTHER UNIVERSE WITH. It seems that he's there for someone else's wants, though... Bah. Zack is awfully suspicious of Oberon though. Smiles hurt his eyes.

Also, Zack can't exactly participate like Emmei can in OG, seeing as he doesn't have the spraypaint to last him that long. Or that's what he keeps telling her to make her stop asking for help.

Wishing Star Concept

In Emmei's and Zack's world, the planet is surrounded by small stars. These are special stars that link two planets together (metaphorically) and provide lives for each planet (literally). In terms of the human-race dominated planet, there is one star per person. And if a person were to wish on their OWN star, then their star would fall out of orbit to acknowledge the wish. The star would then become one with the wisher's body, giving them power to fulfill the wish.

However, a price is paid when the star enters the body that affects the two planets that rely on them. Gunner is from the planet opposite of (for now, let's just call it) Earth (so it's easier) and was given the job to protect the stars for population-control's sake. Whenever a human exhausts the power of the star, the star loses its power and "dies", killing the human with it. It also kills the counterpart of the human on Gunner's planet, or at least their hopes of ever being born.

Whenever a normal human dies, their star in the orbit takes the human's released energy and forms a new individual on Gunner's planet, hence why the star resides in the chest of these creatures.
